Update!! May 2009

It's been a busy year so far. To start with the meeting time has changed to 6:30 p.m. instead of 7:30 p.m. starting in June. We are asking all of our members to help get leads for organizing. I'm in the process of designing an organizing brochure to hand out in the future. Organizing is very important for our union to survive . Anyone interested can request information by clicking on the Join the IAM hyperlink on the left or click here. Organizing is crucial to keep our Local strong and to survive. The bad economy that every one is facing is putting a damper on leads, but I'm sure there are some unfortunate members of our community that need our help to organize their company to benefit in the future. SO PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL!! The more new members added, the stronger Local Lodge 1553 will be in the future.
